Detail : Each week, we required at least 538 tonnes of steel to complete a 200,000 square foot surface area. To handle this, four cranes and 75 erecting mechanisms worked together at peak periods to meet the customer's demands. Given the scope of the project, we needed a concerted effort from everybody. It was essential that everything matched between the consortium and Les Aciers Canam for the trusses, the joists and the bridging. Three different design software programs were used (SDS/2, AUTOCAD, XSTEEL), which required additional monitoring from everyone to ensure no manufacturing and erection information was lost.
